The Karst development characteristics and countermeasure of Yunwushan Tunnel

Xue Bin, Zhang Minqing

Strategic Study of CAE 2009, Volume 11, Issue 12,   Pages 61-68

Abstract:

The revealed karst, karst features and treatment measures are described in detail, and different types of karst-specific countermeasures are put up. At the same time, it is stressed that in the encounter of large-scale high-pressure water-rich cavity filling, macro-scopical analysis and understanding of the geological background governs in determining the treatment schedule. The by-pass schedule pertaining to large-scale karst cavities during construction is put up, and relatively construction organization is modified to ensure the project term target. All these can provide reference for the construction of the long karst tunnels.

Strategic Study of CAE 2018, Volume 20, Issue 1,   Pages 139-143 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2018.01.020

Abstract:

With China entering the automobile society, to become an automobile power, it urgently needs an advanced automobile culture. In addition to analyzing and discussing the importance of developing an advanced automobile culture, this study also dissects the present situation and existing problems of China's automobile culture and clarifies the objective and guiding ideology of implementing it in China. The procedure to develop an advanced automobile culture, offered in this study, will be beneficial in developing China's automobile culture.

Development of MCBurn and its application in the analysis of SCWR physical characteristics

Ganglin YU , Kan WANG ,

Frontiers in Energy 2009, Volume 3, Issue 3,   Pages 348-352 doi: 10.1007/s11708-009-0031-z

Abstract: The MCBurn, a coupled code system linking the Monte Carlo N-particle transport code(MCNP) and Oak Ridge isotope generation and depletion code (ORIGEN), can resolve the basic calculation problems in reactor physical design and analysis, such as criticality, power distribution, nuclide burn up, and neutron fluence. It has been verified in the pressurized water reactor (PWR) pin model, fast reactor (FR) burn up model, and boiling water reactor(BWR) assemble model with benchmarked results. In supercritical water reactor (SCWR) physical calculations, the calculation conditions such as the geometry, the neutron spectrum, and the fuel materials, etc., are more complex than those in traditional reactors, which is a great challenge to reactor physics calculation code. However, the MCBurn code is a possible solution. In this paper, several update functions of the MCBurn in new neutron cross-section lib, code interface, and neutron flux distribution were described. The application of the MCBurn in SCWR were verified on a supercritical water reactor assemble. The calculation results show that the MCBurn is accurate and adaptable in the SCWR calculation.

Obesity-related glomerulopathy: pathogenesis, pathologic, clinical characteristics and treatment

Tianhua Xu, Zitong Sheng, Li Yao

Frontiers of Medicine 2017, Volume 11, Issue 3,   Pages 340-348 doi: 10.1007/s11684-017-0570-3

Abstract:

In light of the rapid increase in the number of obesity incidences worldwide, obesity has become an independent risk factor for chronic kidney disease. Obesity-related glomerulopathy (ORG) is characterized by glomerulomegaly in the presence or absence of focal and segmental glomerulosclerosis lesions. IgM and complement 3 (C3) nonspecifically deposit in lesions without immune-complex-type deposits during ORG immunofluorescence. ORG-associated glomerulomegaly and focal and segmental glomerulosclerosis can superimpose on other renal pathologies. The mechanisms under ORG are complex, especially hemodynamic changes, inflammation, oxidative stress, apoptosis, and reduced functioning nephrons. These mechanisms synergize with obesity to induce end-stage renal disease. A slow increase of subnephrotic proteinuria (<3.5 g/d) is the most common clinical manifestation of ORG. Several treatment methods for ORG have been developed. Of these methods, renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system blockade and weight loss are proven effective. Targeting mitochondria may offer a novel strategy for ORG therapy. Nevertheless, more research is needed to further understand ORG.
